Description

Vintage Japanese small narrow long box with separate lifting lid. Made of an Asian wood, possibly kiri wood or a type of elm. Hard to date it accurately: I'm going with mid century. Simple construction; light coloured. If it were English I'd be thinking croquet box or something: not sure what this one was made for. Condition is pretty good structurally: it's solid enough; cosmetically there are various scuffs, marks and dings but not a lot. Some old water marks inside. Dimensions: 83cm x 21cm x 18cm high
